I know this has been asked before, but any tips for dealing with a circumcision with CD?
PS- I know a lot of people are against it, but I'm letting my FI decide this one because he has the equipment and I have to at least let him make one decision kidding...
PPS-Also, how do I use google to search TB? I feel like a dope for forgetting.
TIA!
Re: Circumcision Q
We just used fleece liners (I cut up an old fleece blanket) just in case any of the vaseline got on the diaper.
To care for the penis we just put tons of vaseline on it and wrapped it up lightly in some gauze. You could probably just use even more gauze to line the diaper where his penis will hit too if you don't want to use liners. They'll go over that with you in the hospital too though.
I was so overwhelmed in the beginning so we just decided to wait until the circ. was mostly healed to start CDing. (next time around I will probably start right from the beginning) then we just put gauze or fleece liners on in between the Vaseline and the diaper.

Do you know which procedure the Dr.'s will use to perform the circ? That will make a bit of difference in how to care for it.
Dominic had the plastibel, so we only had to slather vaseline in the diaper for a couple of days. We did not need gauze or anything.... Fleece liners or disposable liners would be good either way!

The foreskin has a purpose and part of that comes into play to protect the meatus from contact with a diaper... cloth or disposable... you are planning to expose a delicate internal body structure to abrasion and wastes. Yet the worry is how to protect the diapers from the circumcision?
