Rec toddler apps for ipad

So, I got an iPad for xmas and for the life of me, I don't know what to do with it since there's nothing I can think of that I don't already do with my iPhone.  But it occurred to me it could be fun for Gabrielle.  Does anyone have one they use with their LO?  Any recs for apps?

  • Toodle really likes Monkey Preschool Lunchbox (or might be Preschool Monkey Lunchbox). It's a game with fruit, identifying colors, letters, etc. He's too young to actually get most of it but I help him and he likes touching the screen and getting a reaction. His favorite thing on my Ipad though is looking at pictures of babies. I only have a few downloaded but I go to facebook and look at profiles of my friends who post a lot of baby pics.

  • Disney books (Toy Story and Princess and the Frog are huge hits for us); anything by Once Upon an App (although they are lame IMO DD loves them); Smart Baby flash cards; Peekaboo Barn, Wheels on the Bus, Fish School, Itsy Bitsy Spider (the previous three are all duck duck moose apps, great stuff), we also have a couple different ABC ones.  I forget what they are called but they are great.  And Netflix.  I don't know where you come down on toddlers watching TV but streaming Netflix has saved our butt several times when we need something to entertain DD.

Ditto Schmoodle on the looking at babies -- I keep an iPhoto album of pictures of DD which is really for me but she loves LOVES to watch the slide show, so I sync it to the iPad and she can often be found mesmerized by the sight of her own face.  LOL.

  • N really likes the Tozzle, which are puzzles they can move the pieces around with their fingers. She's really good at it! We also have the First Words app and when she was littler, she liked Peekabo Barn. I only have an Ipod touch so I bet there are even more great ones for the iPad.
