Why does she want me to hold all her toys?

It's the craziest thing.  Gabrielle got a couple of stuffed animals for her birthday, and she's really taken to them.  They have to go everywhere with her.  And her favorite thing seems to be to hand them all to me and then have me hold her and all the toys.  There's a particularly popular cast of panda, Pooh bear, Violet, and a black Scottie dog that we've taken to calling the "core four".  Why is she doing this?

Sam does this too - it cracks me up with books.  he'll bring them over, I'll start to read them, and he'll walk away to find another

She does it a little with books, but she's been less interested in them so far.  She LOVES these stuffed animals.

Caroline does this.  She brings me all of her "babes".  Her stuffed cow, stuffed horse, and her stuffed puppy. 

She rounds them up and brings me to me...often.  I love it, but I sure do get sick of holding her "babes"...I'd rather be holding her, but she's too busy for Mommy these days, lol.

Ha!  Once Gabrielle finishes rounding up all her toys, she motions for me to pick her up, too.  She will happily sit there in my lap with all her toys.  And just as if on queue, she did it tonight with her books.

Aw, she wants to be with Mommy AND her toys. So sweet.

Lucy does this also with her bunny lovies and blankie, but only when she is getting tired.  I LOVE it - she will bring them to me and just snuggle right in (for about 30 seconds until she is off to more exciting things!).  This age is so super fun!
