Anything to help with the crazy, painful itching? How long does it last after delivery? I am very miserable and go through OTC creams in a day and half since it is now taken over my body!
Dandelion Root Extract and Pine Tar Soap are what I've heard the best reviews of (two things I heard of after I had mine.) I ended up on oral steriods.
Dandelion root pills worked temporarily for me but the only thong that really helped was going to my dermatologist and getting an Rx for a topical steroid cream. The cream cleared up 90% of my rash within a week.
The only thing that worked for me was either laying on my side to wedge myself in the bathtub of lukewarm water or covering my tummy at all times with a cold washcloth. It was awful but as soon as I delivered it started to subside. Good luck!
I'm so sorry you're dealing with this. I had it for the last 6 weeks of pregnancy and it was HORRIBLE! The only OTC that worked for me was SARNA, and it didn't suffice so I ended up on oral steroids which cleared it up and kept it at bay till delivery.
I also tried the puppp relief soap and lotion from www.rainiersoapworks.com. and would highly recommend.
I'm also sorry you have PUPPS. They aren't lying when they say it'll be gone once you give birth.
I didn't want to do it but it got so bad that I used the steroid cream prescribed by a dermo. Mine was the worst at night so I just put it on before bed on the worst areas; mainly my ankles.
Pine tar soap worked for me. I smelled like a campfire for weeks though. I figured for just a few bucks the soap was worth trying and it cleared mine up in about 2 weeks. GL!
