Success after IF

if you own a britax carseat, ?

I am trying to buy a convertable carseat and can't tell what the difference is between the boulevard and marathon (these seem to be the two most popular). Which seat did you buy and why? I'm open to other styles of Britax too. TIA!

  • It's been a while, but...  I bought the marathon (x2) because I think they were bigger than the boulevard and looked more comfy.  The marathon fit in my cars fine.

The fancy schmancy big new one - don't remember if it's the super marathon or another name.. the lady in the store told me the side "wings" were bigger in case of a side impact crash, but that kids like to look out the window and end up leaning forward to see around them.  I didn't want that!

  • We have one of each and the higher end one has a knob on the side to adjust the height and the straps-- so much easier than having to take the seat out to adjust all of that.  Especially when you have a kid that grows as fast as mine has.

  • I actually just ordered the Boulevard CS 70. Part of my reason for going with this one was because it got higher overall ratings on consumer reports.

  • We have 2 boulevards CS70 (the CS (click safe) is not a big deal, I got it because it was the fabric I liked). We really like ours. I also went into a store that carried both,  I wanted to see how far the foam went down on the seat and I want to say there was a little more, thicker foam on the boulevard -  I could be off but, that's what my memory says at the moment:)~

The actual Britax site site lets you compare side by side, it's pretty cool.

The biggest difference I see is the boulevard has true side impact protection.

I have the advocate, with the side wings. Ethan is really tiny and he can see out just fine (he is still rearfacing)

I choose the advocate and the decalthalon (similar to the boulevard) because of the extra safety features. We are in the car so often and I just wanted the extra. Plus my friend works for britax, so I took his recs as well
