LO just started walking last week, and has outgrown her baby Pumas. Now that she is up and about, I want to make sure that I get shoes that will be good for her feet and continuing to learn to walk. I have heard that Stride Rite carries a lot of good shoes, and have also heard a lot of people use either New Balance or Pumas. What are you recommendations?? TIA!!!!
Re: shoe recommendations for early walker
If it's mostly for indoor walking, anything with a thin, flexible, not slippery sole. Pedipeds, Robeez, the Ministar at Target, See Kai Run Smaller, etc.
If you need more outdoor/snow/wet you still want as flexible a sole as you can get, which I've found to be a little hard to find in brick and mortar stores for not a billion dollars. I loved the See Kai Run DS just grew out of that I got online (seems to run fairly small), there were some oshkosh shoes at Kohls (Flex, I believe) that seemed pretty good, pediped and robeez again.
My DD wore RileyRoos when she started walking at 9.5 months. They have a flexible sole and imitate barefoot walking. I bought them from Tiny Soles. Really great quality.
