Thanks for the T&P's for my surgery :)

I just wanted to thank all of you kind gals that sent me messages and T/P's before my surgery on 1/27.  If you didn't see my other posts, I am temporarily posting under another name as I have breast cancer and am not ready to go completely public.  I had a bilateral mastectomy surgery on Thurs 1/27.  I am glad to say it was not that bad at all and I am doing great!  I was home by Sat at 1pm in my bed with my family nearby.  I have been getting better each day.  I have temporary tissue expanding implants in now and will have permanant new boobies by early summer.  I am looking forward to that so I can enjoy my summer.  I have to start chemo (boo!) next month.  I will get through that...I keep telling myself that!

a good coworker and friend went through all of this coming up on two years soon.  she is all good and so admirable.  wishing you all the same goodness. hugs.

I was following your story from early on, and then lo and behold was diagnosed with breast cancer myself on 12/30. I had my bilateral mastectomy on 1/21 and am recovering at home still as well. I also start chemo next month!

I'm so glad to hear that you'e doing okay.  I'll continue praying for you and hoping the chemo does what it is supposed to do and it isn't too hard on your body.
