How long does that nap usually last?

Tegan has just recently gone to one nap a day (as in, yesterday, lol!), but it seems to be working really well for her. Yesterday her nap went from 11:30 AM-2:30 PM and it seems like she's on the path for something similar today. I like the idea of her taking a 3 hour nap, one time, during the day. It opens up a bigger window of time in the morning and afternoon for running errands, going places, etc. Now, if I can only get the daycare to realize that 10 AM is way too early for her only nap of the day!!

I had a similar question...LO still takes two naps but will often have to miss his first nap due to MOPS or church (both at 9:30am).  When that happens, he usually crashes in the car at 11:30-12:00 and I'm able to transfer him over to his crib.  He sleeps for about 2 hours during those naps.  

 

When he is ready for one nap, I'd prefer it to be around 2pm so he doesn't miss lunch time and when he wakes up we'll have time to play together before I prepare dinner.

 

I have nieces that take one nap and they last well over 3 hours most days!

it's usually about 2 hours.  It does make it more difficult b/c the days she's at daycare she naps earlier than when she's home with me.  But it is nice to have more flexibility than we had with the 2 nap schedule.

His nap is normally 2-3 hours.  Its great to have him with a predictable window to sleep.  We can go out in the morning and again after his nap, if we need to.

Oh God, you have no idea how jealous I am of your 3 hour napper! DD went down to one nap shortly after her 1st birthday.  She's always taken crappy naps.  Every couple of weeks she might give me a 2 hour nap but normally it's an hour to an hour and a half.  

When she first started taking one nap it started at 11 but we've pushed it back until 12 now.  

Oh and I really hope she keeps up the 3 hour naps for you!

He's never gone longer than 1.5 hours. He takes his nap between 12 and 12:30 when we get home from moms group.

DD didn't transition completely to 1 nap until she was about 15 months. But now that she is completely transitioned, it is usually at least 2 hours.

I think if my boy had his way he'd be transitioning by now, but I have to get him up earlier than he prefers when I go to work. 

Weekdays he gets up around 6 and naps 9-11 and 1-3 (ish, not usually all 4 hours, but sometimes).

Weekends he can sleep in as late as 8 and then does one nap 11-2 ish.

Today was weird, he woke up early (6:30) and I put him down for his morning nap at 9. He slept for 3.5 hours and has been up ever since (it's after 5 now). We'll see what this means for bedtime...

One nap for 2 hours, sometimes 2 1/2 or 3 if I'm lucky.

2 hrs on average, generally 11-1. sometimes on the weekend DS will go more liek 2 1/2 or so.

It usually last anywhere from 2-2 1/2 hours.  DS starts his nap at noon after lunch.  He eats lunch pretty early at 11:00 because he gets up so freakin early in the morning!

DS goes down for a nap between 1:30-2, and he sleeps 2-3 hours.

Lately it's been anywhere form 30minutes -2.5 hours. I think part of his problem though is he's stuffy and teething, which doesn't make for very good naps. He usually goes down after lunch.
