I have guilt

for taking Katies pacifier (wubbanub) away.  It's her lovey (although she does have a blanket she carries aroudn as well) and she named it "Pony D".  She loves it and we took it away.  It's been three days and I have guilt because I know she how much she loves her pony.  She has another pony but it doesn't have the pacifier on the end and she knows I have "pinnk" and 'Purple" extra pacis and she asks for them too.  She's gone to sleep within 5 minutes of laying her down so its not like she needs it but i feel like I've taken her friend away lol I know it's stupid.

Is this normal?

Can you cut the pacifier off and let her keep the pony part? Maybe tell her the pony gave up the pacifier just like she did?

But it sounds like she's doing OK with out it too.

I understand why you feel guilty though (I felt bad when I took down Jake's Christmas tree!)

She has more than one so I cut it off of one of them and she won't touch it because the paci is missing.  The ENT said with tubes its better for her not to have it.
