DH left for business yesterday (he gets back late tonight) and my plan to 'take it easy' today just didnt work out like I had planned. How important is taking it easy in the 2ww? Its close to impossible sometimes with a toddler. Especially mine today--he was a bit of uh, whats the word, a 'terror'....yep, thats it!
I was pretty much sedentary the first 48 hours so I hope thats enough
Re: Well Im 3dp3dt and so much for 'taking it easy'.
Clomid M/C 8 weeks 2/08 *IVF #1-DD born 3/09
*Surprise BFP-T18 baby lost at 13w 1/10 *FET #1-DS born 2/11
I think the first 2 days are the most important, and as long as you did not do any high impact areobics, I think you are ok.
Having a toddler in terrible twos is hard when doing these treatments!
I have a stupid question for you. Since you did a FET then how come you did 3dt? What day did your embies have to make it to in order to get frozen during the fresh IVF? My RE makes the embies hold out until day 6 before deciding if they can freeze...and maybe that's we never have had any to freeze!
After 21 cycles, and severe MFI, we finally did it with IVF #1 w/ICSI! Nico arrived 12/3/08!!!

IUI #2 1/10/11-BFN; IUI #3 2/18/11-BFN
IVF #4 w/ICSI & PICSI ER 5/13/11, ET 5/1/118-BFP!! Natalee arrived on 1/23/12!!!!

Thanks ladies for the reassurance
Courted--I did a natural FET this time so its a bit different. I consider it a 3dt because they froze the embies on day 3. They said they always freeze any 'extra' embies on the same day you do the fresh transfer--which was on day 3. Some clinics may chose to wait to freeze because they want to freeze only the best of the best--i guess thats the same as letting embies go out to blast. None of our embies would have made it to blast IMO. Sometimes damage can also occur in the thaw so maybe your clinic wanted to freeze the best possible embryos because maybe damage can occur when thawing. I had no damage to the three we just transferred.

My RE also doesn't believe in bed rest. I gathered as much research as I could on it when I was going through IVF #2 (for Ava), and I found zero studies that showed any benefit and one (meta-analysis) that actually showed that bed rest could be harmful, possibly because it decreases blood flow to the uterus.
That being said, for both of my successful cycles, I "took it easy" (so, no exercise or heavy lifting) but generally resumed normal activity after the ET. With both cycles, both embryos we transferred stuck. With my last cycle in particular, I had no choice but to lift/carry Ava. Obviously this wasn't detrimental!
GOOD LUCK!!
