Okay, we've voiced our opinions on sibling names that start with the same letter.
Now, I want to know what you think about double names.
For instance, and just as an example, if that same hypothetical child we talked about in the prior thread were born a girl...and her name were Anna Claire...what would SAIF think of that?
I want your honest opinions on double names...and not just having a double name, but specifically being called by that double name.
Go!!
Re: S/O Name thread
Some names work, some don't so IMO it depends on the name. For instance, Sammi Jo just is too southern for me, a northern girl, but the name you gave is not so bad.
The issue is with your daughter though. Would you mind it later on in life if SHE wanted to just go by the single name? It is possible that she may, so if you hate the name by itself I would not go there.
After 7 years trying to concieve, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs, my third IVF was a success!
My Christmas baby turned into a turkey bird! Dillon Richard was born at 34 weeks, 5 days on November 28, 2009 after 10 weeks on bedrest for preeclampsia.

I didn't get to respond earlier but I think sibling names that start with the same letter can be cute. I don't think I would personally do it but for many it works. I love Caroline and Connor by the way..
As for double names it's really not my thing. It seems like it is a super southern thing. We have meet several in Fla with double names. More girls then boys..There is a little girl in Jakes baby class that is Anna Sophia soo super cute..and it fits her personality totally. I also love boys names like CJ..and JR ect..Again I don't think I would chose that name for my kid but on others it just works..
My friend's daughter is also named Anna Claire, and I ALWAYS think of "An Eclair", which is my primary objection to that name.
I'm not the biggest fan of double names. They seem either pretentious or wishy washy.

No worries, EP...
With my southern accent, Anna Claire sounds nothing like 'an eclair', lol.
How 'bout this? I've never had an eclair. I probably couldn't pick one out of a line up, lol.
Probably not something I would do, but it doesn't bother me. DH hates them with surprising passion. lol
Oh lord - you need to remedy that immediately! You don't know what you're missing!
