I have read all the posts about what most people would describe baby feeling like so this might seems a little odd.
So far, from what I know, I haven't felt baby move. Although I do sometimes feel bubbles or pokes almost and wonder if it it baby. Sometimes I get really crampy on one side and I wonder if it isn't baby streching anterior to posterior... could this be? Also, has anyone ever had a quick sharp pain when baby kicks or moves? I'm feeling the pain today on one side that is here and then gone. I wonder if that could be baby or if I'm just weird and something else is going on in there that I don't know about.
Any help or advice would be appreciated. TIA!
Re: Odd question
My OB told me that movement would come around 20 weeks. He said to expect a feeling like "popping champagne bubbles". You could be feeling movement, or it could just be gas.
2nd time moms often report feeling movement earlier just because they know what to feel for.
Baby is so small now- that I would say any quick sharp pain is RLP.
With your first it is normal not to have felt the baby yet. The little bubbles might be the baby, a lot of women describe feeling earlier on this and it is called quikening, but around 18-22 weeks you will feel the baby move and there will be no doubt in your mind if it was the baby. When the baby is strong enough to feel individual kicks, it is obvious that it is the baby moving.
The cramping and pain is probalby your uterus streaching and round ligament pain which is very normal. But usually there isnt pain with the baby moving until 2nd half of 3rd trimester when they are just running out of room and getting pretty strong, at that point, you feel the kick and and the corresponding pain in what ever organ they just kicked you in. I hope that helps!!
