To explain that further.....
I have 2 daughters ages 1 and 3 and both of those pregnancies consisted of hyperemesis(which required a lot of hospitalization), ridiculous weight gain( my first one was 87 lbs and the 2nd was 54 lbs), Odd cravings, etc.
Now this time I am 19 weeks and only gained about 7 lbs so far, very mild morning sickness, I still wear most of my regular clothes, and I eat normal.
Sometimes I get worried that something is wrong because I just dont feel like Im pregnant since its so easy going this time around. I have also had 2 miscarriages. I am really praying that this just means Im having a boy this time lol
Has anyone else had completely different pregnancies?
Re: Any other moms having a weird pregnancy this time around?
Yes.....and this time, a very bad one
I also already have 2 (2 boys....). One is 3.5 and the other is 15 months. With my first, I had spotting every 4 weeks, but had a pretty easy PG other than that. With my 2nd, I had an anterior placenta so I rarely felt him, which caused lots of freak-outs and lots of time getting NST's. I also had some high BP issues with him in the 3rd trimester.
This time around.......couple episodes of bleeding early on again, another anterior placenta and just last week got put on bedrest because my cervix is shortening. It has been Hel! to say the least
I would not wish this on anyone. Luckily, I am on "modified" bedrest, but I am putting my family in an extremely stressful situation. We had no idea this was coming.
This one is completely different than with DS..I had constant M/S with him throughout the whole pregnancy.
And this time I have had only headaches and dizziness. Very mild compared to DS.
My Doctor said that all three of her pregnancies were different and they were all girls...which didn't make me feel any more confident about my girl feeling.
At least little one is healthy....and I think that is all that matters. Every pregnancy is different unfortunately but I told DH that if I could guaranty the next pregnancy would be like this...I would go for DC #3 :O) (he wasn't with that plan)
You had hyperemesis and you gained 87 pounds? That seems contradictory to me.
7 pounds of weight gain at 19 weeks sounds completely normal IMO.
