**Luckystar**

I saw your response to my previous post so I thought you might be on.  I'm curious about your swing success -- any luck weaning her off?  We've got her down to the lowest setting and turn it off but I'm nervous to actually try putting her in the crib for her naps.  I think it's going to be a disaster -- she'll wake up, start crying etc.  I nurse her to sleep at night and if she's not swaddled, she wakes up.  Given that it's light out (we have curtains but it doesn't block out everything), I think she's going to wake up even easier since she's not swaddled during the day.  Do you swaddle Evelyn for naps?

Heading out to the pedi but wanted to post this before I left :)

I hope all is going well!

Re: **Luckystar**

  • We aren't trying to transition her anymore (at least not right now).  Since the pedi thinks she may have reflux she suggested to let her sleep in the swing.  We haven't tried the reflux meds yet since the swing seems to help her nighttime problems...but we may try them.  If they work then we'll consider transitioning to the crib.  But for now she's in the swing.  We did have it off but then we started going through the 4 month wakeful period and I was desperate for sleep so I put it back to the lowest setting.  I've been too nervous to shut it off now!

We use the swaddleme in the swing at night.  I used to swaddle her for naps too when I was home.  But at daycare she doesn't get swaddled.  But she doesn't sleep well there.  She'll usually only take half hour naps.

I would like to wean off the swaddle, but I'm nervous!  She usually can wiggle one of her arms free anyways at this point.  I think I'm going to start swaddling one arm out soon and then try two if that works.

Honestly, after going through the 4 month wakeful period I don't want to do anything to mess up her sleep.  She's now been sleeping from 7:30-3/4, eating then going back to sleep till 6:30/7 for over a week now.
