North Carolina Babies

Oh, DH...

Holly spilled something on her shirt yesterday at DC so she came home in her "extra" shirt. So, they asked us to send a replacement today to keep in her cubby. I forgot to lay one out, so DH emailed me this morning, and said he was sending this one.

I replied "you do realize that's a reindeer, right? A Christmas reindeer. With Christmas lights." He said "yeah, but it fits and it's not like she'll wear it again."

I mean, I get his logic. But considering we often meet for dinner, run errands, etc right after daycare, that might look a little silly. But apparently I'M the crazy one. Not sure why he emailed me if he didn't want my opinion. hehe.

Meh. Pick your battles, right? So if you happen to see us out one night and she's wearing this shirt in like April, remember's it's DH's fault, ok? hehe.

Re: Oh, DH...

  • That's funny! I was just comtemplating what extra outfits to send with Annabelle when she goes to DC.  I don't want to send something "cute" that she could be wearing alot so this is a good idea!!

  • Well, it is a cute shirt.  That is stinkin' hilarious!

  • Liam totally has a Halloween shirt at preschool right now as his backup outfit LOL.  He's only had to be changed once, after he puked, and I didn't want to send an outfit that I liked for him to potentially never wear again, if he doesn't need to be changed again before spring! :)

  • Oh, I totally "get" why he suggested it! I wouldn't want to waste a cute outfit to sit there and possibly never get used (she really rarely comes home in her extra clothes, but has a couple of times recently). I usually buy a couple of cheapo outfits (like $1 shirt, $1 pants) at consignment sales specifically for this purpose! He just couldn't find that outfit today. hehe.

  • Way to funny!  I asked DH to take an extra outfit to the daycare last week.  When I dropped DS off, I looked in the cubby and it was a 3-month outfit!  DS is 9 months!
  • LOL, my DH dressed Wesley for daycare the other day in a Christmas shirt with Rudolph on it...I feel your pain.
  • I keep sending DS's ugliest outfit as backup, expecting he'll grow out of it and rarely wear it.  Wouldn't ya know - he's worn it home many times recently.  Maybe if I send a cute outfit, he'll stay clean?

I DO like the reindeer though!
