Mine have been having runny noses and a cough for a few days but no fever. When I talked to the nurse 2 days ago, she said to 1) saline and suction their nose 2) sleep with the humidifier on 3) elevate their heads while they sleep.
Not sure if that helps you for tomorrow....maybe call the pedi to see if there is anything you can do/give over the counter.
And have fun in Baton Rouge...that's where my in-laws live:)
All of this. It's about all you can do, in addition to using saline drops and suction his nose.
Vick's Baby Rub (it is specially made for young babies - don't get the regular stuff yet!) overnight. Also - take him IN to a warm steamy shower with you night before AND morning of plane ride if possible - put him under the warm steamy spray - the works!! He'll blink a lot and look shocked - but it works! (Obv. make sure water is not HOT - but it does need to be warm enough to make the mirror steamy.) Humidifier or vaporizer in his sleeping area overnight and throughout the day. Push fluids - give him some water/juice to thin out mucous and phlegm. Oh yes and saline nose drops or spray!! Keep it flowin'..
Good luck!!
