Kind of weird, I know. I loved the Peanuts as a kid. DS is 4.5 and I taped a bunch of Charlie Brown specials for him over the holidays. He loved them, so I put "A Boy Named Charlie Brown" from 1969 on our Netflix queue. The holiday specials are cute, but in this Peanuts movie, I'm noticing a lot of stuff I don't like from a parenting perspective. Charlie Brown saying he's a nothing and he's not good enough for the little red-haired girl. And a scene where Lucy, etc, are dancing around him singing, "You're impossibly dumb."
Yeah, not liking that. WDYT?
Re: Does anyone else not like Charlie Brown?
It's boring. I didn't think so as a kid (and my kids don't), but it is.
Lucy's mean - and they call Charlie some pretty awful names.
I'm not going to ban my kids from watching it, but yes - I have noticed some things about it...
