C/S is less than a week away and I'm sick:(

It started on Monday when DH got cold/flu symptoms and mine started last night.  Thankfully neither of us have a fever and he thinks he is on the tail end of it.  Our symptoms have been headaches, body aches, and we both have a nasty sounding cough.  The coughing part is already painful for me (in my abs) I can't imagine how it will feel after my c/s!  I saw my OB today and she said everything is still set for my c/s and I still have a few days to fight this off so I should be fine.  She also gave me a list of cold meds that were safe to take and listened to my lungs.

I know it will all be just fine but it feels stressful right now. I sent H off to my parents house for the day so I could rest.  I'm sad because this is not how I planned to spend my last week with her as an only child:(

Oh no.  When exactly is the c/s supposed to be?  I hope you're well by then!

Oh no! I was sick last week, and I totally panicked about going into labor that way, so I can emphathize!

I took Sudafed during the day and Benadryl at night for a week and mine went away pretty quickly. I still have a bit of congestion, but nothing I can't handle.

Hope you're feeling better quickly!

That stinks! I hope you kick this quickly and are recovered for your c-section next week.

I just got over a cold and was feeling the same way.  How am I going to push out a baby if I can't even breathe?  Luckily, it passed in less than a week with only some mild congestion remaining - I hope yours clears up soon too!

oh no!  You poor thing.  Take this time to rest and get up your strength for that little one!
