Success after IF

DS new hobby is taking off his socks and shoes

Every time I turn around his feet are naked... I guess he is ready for sandal weather too!
A lot of years and a million tears finally led me to you.
After 7 years trying to concieve, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs, my third IVF was a success!
My Christmas baby turned into a turkey bird! Dillon Richard was born at 34 weeks, 5 days on November 28, 2009 after 10 weeks on bedrest for preeclampsia.

  • ha!  Jones does too!!  I am threatening to make him wear tights, but then they would just get soggy because he likes to suck on his toes Stick out tongue
  • Bad news, ladies!  That's never-ending enjoyment!  Jacob's almost 2 and every time I turn around in the car he's got at least 1 shoe off if not in bare feet.

doh!!  silly kids!!  I actually put shoes on him to go to target the other day...and after I had been there forever, some guy came up and said "did you lose a shoe?"  and i looked down, and sure enough, he had kicked off one of his shoes, in the very first area we were in...thank goodness that guy saw it and then was kind enough to ask every mom with a baby he saw!!

I have been taking his shoes off for trips to the store, I am tired of having 1 missing all the time.

  • Hayden still loves to take off his shoes and socks. It is crazy. He leaves his socks on in the house (I think because his feet get cold) but in the warm car, they come right off. Then he chews on the laces which I think is super gross.

Yep, get used to it.  It's not as frequent as it has been in the past, but it's pretty common to be in the car, hear the rip of velcro and then "bye bye shoes" followed shortly by "bye bye socks".  And since we have a lot of monkey see, monkey do in our house, that means by the time I get wherever, there are 4 socks and 4 shoes to find and put back on!

  • Too funny! Liam is doing the exact same thing! Usually it is only his left sock though. I am ready for some warmer weather so I can let him go barefoot and I can stop having to find his sock!
