Infertility

*~*~JackieMac*~*~

Hi there, I wanted to let you know that I had my lap on Friday and they found a mild case of stage II endo.  I didn't have any symptoms besides IF.  I know you and I talked about getting laps a few weeks ago so I wanted to share with you my outcome.  My RE has told us to try again on our own for a few cycles since he feels pretty confident that he fixed our problem.  I haven't felt this positive in two years about our chances.  I wish you the best of luck with your surgery!!!!!

  • I replied to your post yesterday - but it must of gotten loss in the change over.  I am so glad to hear everything went well and that you now have good outcome.  I am so glad to hear you are feeling positive.

So tell me - how bad was it - how is recovery - how is the pain??

I am so nervous - I have been being a baby and putting off calling about it.

Also can you tell me if it is a certain cycle day that you have to get it done.  If so I may have to wait until the end of the month to set it up because I am already on CD 10.

We are going to try on our own for the next few months too - I hope we both get break cycle BFP's!!!

  • Hi there, I am on the 5th day from surgury and am still off from work.  Today is the best I have felt and will head back to work tomorrow.  The recovery and pain was not awful.  I woke up in the recovery unit a little out of it and didn't feel any amount of pain.  They gave me 1600mg of motrin while I was there and recommended that I fill the percocet prescription or buy IBprofen.  I have only been using the IBprofen this whole time.  To be honest, the first day was the worst, I didn't have any major pain besides cramp like feelings until I went upstairs to bed.  The stairs killed me, I had weird spasms that caused me to shake which lasted about 5 minutes.  I think I took the steps too quickly.  That was the worst of it.  It is true about what you hear with the shoulder pain, it feels like your shoulder is asleep and you are not able to sleep on your one side for a few nights because of it.  Overall, it wasn't that bad, you will just need to relax on the couch for a few days.  I think the anticipation beforehand is worse than it actually is.  I hope that helps, I don't want to scare you too much because it really wasn't that bad.  I would do it again if I had too.  My RE likes to do the laps between day 5 and 10 so you may have to wait until your next cycle to schedule, I had mine on day 8.  I hope we get those break BFP's too!!!!!  Please keep me posted on when your lap is, I will be hoping and praying for you!
