? for the curvy ladies

Ok, so I have always had hips and a big butt. I have also always had the problem where if I can get jeans over my a$$ and hips I have the huge gap at my waist. Well before DS I had a select few brands of jeans that I knew would always work, but now I guess the problem has got even worse. So where do you buy jeans? I can not find a pair that work for the life of me. I am sick of trying on jeans!!

Re: ? for the curvy ladies

  • Ok, I'm not exactly curvy, and what little I had back there has all but disappeared after DS was born.  My little sister, on the other hand, has a huge butt and has always bought her jeans from The Buckle.  Even after putting on the freshman 15 (or maybe 30?) she still swears by them.

  • I have the same problem and finally found that old navy diva jeans fit great. A size eight from gap will leave space but a size eight in the diva jeans work great!

  • Ditto to Old Navy Diva jeans! I usually do not like any Old Navy stuff either.

Also some Mossimo style's at Target fit me too. But it's a challenge to find them sometimes!

I actually bought one pair of the Diva jeans and I like them. I thought they only came in skinny leg though, and I don't like wearing those everday. Do they make them in boot cut?

  • Gap Curvy jeans and I get them from the Gap outlet.

  • Lane Bryant also has great jeans for every body type.
  • Unfortunately I just buy the size that fits my bootie and have them tailored at my waist. Joe's Jeans Honey fit me well but are $.

  • I have the exact same problem.  It the Old Navy jeans are ok but I feel like they stretch out so bad and shrink in length.  I just found the best jeans at Ann Taylor Loft.  Sign up for their email notifications and you will get a 20% off coupon.  Here is a link to the ones that I bought.

Thanks! I was just going to check them out this week (if the ice ever melts). We have an outlet right by my house.

Yes! I have a couple boot cuts but I think they may call them flare... I forget but NO to skinny, I can't pull it off... and I like them way better than Gap Curvy

  • This is going to sound ridiculous because neither of the words in the description apply, but I found that the Gap Long and Lean fit great.

Yeah, I don't think I can either. But I bought one pair to wear my boots over. All other parts of the jeans fit great, so you can't even tell!!

Gap Curvy was one of the pairs I used to like before DS. Now they don't work for me.

Haha! Yea, not what you would think a 5'4" curvy girl should wear!! Sometimes the stuff you would never think would work, does! I'll have to give it a try.

  • I love my curvy bootcuts from New York & Company.

  • I'm the exact same way! Big hips, big ass, small waist. I wear Silver jeans and I love them!

  • Loft's Julie pants are designated as the "curvy" ones, and Express has a curvy line too--I want to say it's the Eva jeans? Those are my favorite.
