It is all dependent on the hospital policy & doctor. Usually green snot means an infection, and docs are usually very cautious about having kids with colds in the hospital. Mainly so they don't get sicker from all the germs there.

That's probably the difference. Ours are done at a Surgical center and not a hospital. No sick people there-only people there for same day surgery.
