With all the talk about the girls heading south yesterday, I was wondering if anyone has had positive PP body changes? I am still BFing, but for the moment, am enjoying the redistribution of assets.
My PP body is definitely different in a lot of ways, but think I have learned to accept it. One cool thing is that I believe pregnancy made me tougher. I have run some of my fastest race times ever since having had DS. I was scared I would be slower, and I was at first, but I think what my body went through made me a more efficient athlete, which is a great benefit. That and the fact that I have to make my workouts really count now since I have a limited time to get through them!
Like one week after I had Maddie, I very distinctly remember getting out of the shower and then prancing around the house (I put clothes on, lol) and telling my mom that I had a "woman's" body now, I was so curvy.
I'm pretty sure I was delirious from lack of sleep.
I will say that my body changes don't really bother me. My stomach is poochier than before, I have a keloid c/s scar, my boobs are saggy and I think I will always carry an extra 5-10 lbs...but I don't mind. I'm a mom, so I don't expect myself to look like I did before I was a mom. I know a lot of people don't want to hear that they look great "for a mom," but I'm a-ok with that .

My back doesn't crack anymore. Before I got pg, it was TERRIBLE. I could turn to the side and crack it all the way down, and I probably made it worse by cracking it all the time because it just always felt like it needed to be cracked. By the time I reached my 3rd trimester, I couldn't twist enough to crack it even if I wanted to, and it seriously doesn't crack anymore at all. It's awesome

I was very lucky and pretty much got back to my PP body give or take a poochier belly and saggier boobs but I'm feel good about myself. I am more confident about my body now than I was pre-pregnancy. I have off days but most of the time I embrace my mommy body.
