DS has a snowday tomorrow and I don't (at least not yet) :(

Biggest snow in many years is hitting Chicago, and DS has a snow day. I'm 99% certain DH will also have a snow day. I'm 99% certain I won't.

Of course I could take a personal day if there was no one to watch DS otherwise, but I'm actually busy at work. And I work with a bunch of psychos who will be there if there is any way possible to get into the office (snowshoeing, xc skiing, whatever).

I guess I have no point. I'm just sad. I haven't had a good old fashioned snow day since I was a little kid!

    I hope you get off!  I live in St. Louis and school's already been called for tomorrow. They have shut down highway 70 across half the state now!  That never happens.

    My school my called off today and DH decided to work from home / 1/2 day vacay time.  I suspect it will be the same thing tomorrow. We could hardly leave our subdivision.  All non-essential local government offices are closed.

    Any chance a snow emergency will be called or would that even apply within the city, public transportation and all.
