PF: Do you use a liner?

I've been using mostly PFs and I haven't been using liners. We change LO every couple of hours but I'm starting to think I should use fleece for the stay dry feeling. What do you do?

Re: PF: Do you use a liner?

  • I just responded to your other post that this is what you should do! To be honest, when my DS was in prefolds, I changed him every hour I think and never used liners.

I have a renewed interest in prefolds now that he is a little older and just ordered some larger sizes. I only put down fleece in his fitteds if he is going overnight in them. So, I think I would only bother putting a fleece liner down if he was going to sleep. That said, my DS really doesn't have any diaper rash issues, he gets plenty of naked butt time, and doesn't mind being wet. So, it really is up to you.

  • I don't use PFs anymore, mostly fitteds, but I've never used a liner.  Never had rash problems and she gets lots of naked time.  She hasn't seemed to mind feeling wet and she sleeps 10-12 hours at night.

  • nope. I don't think it's necessary. Besides, one of the reasons we CD is because we don't WANT the "stay dry" feeling during the day (more important at night, when we have to worry about rashes) -- but we hope that the sensation of feeling wet will help her PT earlier.
