Our anatomy scan is scheduled for 10 am tomorrow morning, making this February 2nd even more spectacular than usual in our house. (On top of it already being Groundhog Day and my brother's birthday.)
Yesterday I mentioned to my Aunt that I hope the groundhog will effect only the weather and not the sex of our child. She of course enlightened me to this idea: If the baby sees it's "shadow" it's a boy, and if it doesn't, it's a girl! I wish I would have thought of that. Groundhog logic trumps all. If it does end up coordinating with the groundhog in the morning, I will be amazed, and slightly disturbed.
I guess this post is fairly pointless, but I was highly amused by my Aunt's use of "shadow" and I thought you all might enjoy it as well. Here's to healthy scans and outcomes for everyone going in the near future, and for all those with scans still to come!
And in honor of the movie Groundhog Day, please enjoy this picture of Billy Murray and Punxsutawney Phil:)
