I bought a whole bunch of onesies yesterday, and I am thinking that I might like to have baby legs to go with, rather than pants, for ease of diaper changes early on. (I also am a little scared I have no idea what to dress a baby in, so feel free to add some advice there.)
Anywho... I have some tutorials bookmarked for making baby legs, but I am just wondering what size socks you would buy to start with? Girls knee highs? Size 6? 12? Baby tights? (which are like 2 pairs for $9... not as cheap as I would like...)
I feel so lost!
Re: Any recs for making NB baby legs?
I've made babylegs out of women's knee highs and they work well for bigger babies and toddler. I've never made any for newborns, but my guess would be that girls' knee highs would be a good size to start with or you could cut down the womens' to a shorter size.
I bought my womens' knee highs at Target for $2 a pair.
As OP said, Target has women's knee socks in adorable prints. $2 a pair. They have ones that would work for a boy or girl. I don't sew, but it seems like it would be easy to cut the foot part off and sew the edges.
