Not showers at work, diaper parties, sprinkles, or anything like that. Rather, an actual "shower". What are your thoughts on it being a co-ed bash?[Poll]

Okay, this seriously made me laugh out loud.
I love co-ed showers! I'm not a girly-girl so I don't do well with quiet showers with games and such. I also hate being the center of attention so this way my husband (who lurves the spotlight) can soak some of it in.
I've thrown several co-ed showers for friends and they always end up being really fun parties, sometimes with dancing.
So, I read the poll, and think a shower with gifts...
Then I read Jay_Cee's post and think.. "oh, im a dumb @ss.. she meant a "get yourself cleaned up kinda shower"...
Now Im realizing I was right all along.. what a confusing thread! haha.... Keeping me on my toes I see! LOL
haha.
I refreshed the page and did a double take. I thought I completely misread your title, but perhaps not. Apparently my mind is just wandering today!
Anyway, my answer is still the same. I think co-ed baby showers are great and can be fun. However, my DH does not want to go to my shower (neither do any of the other men that we know of), so our shower will be a girl's affair.
I edited the title after reading your response. Don't worry, you're not going crazy...yet

I like the idea of them. Our friends are throwing us a co-ed baby shower in May. We thought it would be something fun for the guys/girls to get together, hang out and do. Plus, it takes away from the pain of having to tell my MIL/Stepmom to invite x-amount of people because of DH's friends wives and my friends. So it makes it easier, and a little more relaxing.
I also like it because, unlike a wedding shower, DH is more a part of having this baby with me. The wedding shower is pretty much all things that I wanted on the registry, DH just scanned them onto the registry. But with the baby, it'll be a fun way to have him involved.
I voted SS - I don't feel strongly one way or another about them, but I can't think of many guys that would want to come to a shower.
With regard to actual shower in a bathroom - I don't care for coed, but I'm greedy and like all the hot water for myself!
I much prefer the co-ed baby shower - we are absolutely planning one already! I have far too many friends that are guys to exclude them from our celebration - we are also having it on our one year wedding anniversary weekend so its kind of a kill two birds with one stone type thing. Weve got lots of fun games planned and it will be a BBQ/Pool party with booze and the whole nine~ I cant wait!
I will also be having a very small (Old) ladies only shower up by my mothers house (one and half hours away) that my mom wants to have to invite her friends - I dont know why but she is insisting!
This. We just went to a co-ed shower and the men were miserable. MH didn't want to go and it was clear many others didn't want to be there either. I always thought it was a cute idea but after this experience, no way.
I'm all for the co-ed bathroom showers. Sexy time is a plus and I really enjoy getting my back washed.
