IF/When the girls we had come back to live with us, they will probably end up being adopted by us.
What's going on with the girls? Have you been in touch with them, their social worker, or their teachers? Does it look like they might return to you? And that you might be able to adopt them? Inquiring minds want to know! It sounds so exciting!
Re: ***comeonbaby***
You know, I started to page you with an update!
We've contacted CASA, our agency, the person that was the supervisor of the case AND funny part of the drama - the receptionist at the oldest former psychiatrist actually knows the girls and BPs, lives in the same apt complex and voiced her concern to the head of our foster care agency when she saw her. I called her yesterday and talked to her, gave her our number and told her that the girls are not suppose to be with BPs unsupervised and if she sees them with her to call the CPS hotline and report it ASAP. She was definitely concerned. There's more to her in the drama but it doesn't matter. The former supervisor is contacting the safety services dept of DFPS and voicing her concern about the house they're currently in (the youngest 2's paternal grandmother). It wasn't found to be a safe home the whole 18 months they lived with us.
The head of our agency has told us to do what we need to for the safety of the girls. She also said that if the do end up coming into care she would make sure they were placed with us.
I'm glad you have the go-ahead to do what you can to try and protect them. I also hope that they are safe, and that if the BPs aren't able to properly care for them, that you are able to bring them into your family.
Do you think the out-of-state move was all a ruse to return and be under CPS' radar? Refresh my memory, who did they leave to live with; was it a family member?
