With all this talk about the number of hours we work, I was wondering how much time we put in to getting there and back.

Mine used to be just under 30 minutes but now I have to drop of my boy, so it's 45 or so (usually I leave an hour because I tend to chat with his provider in the morning).

my commute is anywhere from 40-50 min. sometimes longer in bad traffic.

Without dropping the kids, it's 25 min.  With dropping the kids off, it's closer to an hour.

On a perfect day, w/ no pick/up drop off, its an hour and 5 minutes, but w/ pick up or drop off and regular daily traffic, its about 1:15-1:30 door to door.

My work is 15 min from my house, so that's what I answered, but in reality with dropping DD off, my total travel time is 30-45 min one way.

Ditto.  Luckily DH and I trade off on drop off and pick up.

I have to be able to get to work within 30 minutes in order to take call from home (dept policy) so we made it a point to live within 15 min so I had a safe cushion of time to get there.
