Have you made a decision on the method of birth for this LO?
I've been back and forth and while I'm not 100% committed, I am leaning toward VBAC. We've been having discussions with our doctor and doing research. DH would prefer RCS, but he'll support me if I choose a VBAC. I've found it to be a very difficult decision.
Anyone want to share?
Re: c/s ladies
Unfortunately, the decision was pretty much made for me. I had really wanted to VBAC, but the hospitals here in the new town we moved to don't allow them, so I'd have to travel pretty far to have one.
My doctor offered a referral, but after discussing with my husband we felt there were other risks and drawbacks to having to travel so far. Plus, there's no guarantee of success, and unfortunately due to being a far distance away...I'd be assured an induction, which reduces chances of success..and something I really wanted to avoid.
I had an extremely stressful birth the last time and we both are at peace with choosing the repeat c-section. I do wish you the best of luck with your decision. It's not an easy one to make!
My OB's feel strongly that unless you had a breech baby, the chances of you having a successful VBAC is slim to none.
I couldn't wait to sign up for my 2nd c/s
I can't wait to sign up for this one!
Although the recovery may be easier with a vaginal birth (that is debatable in my opinion and varies on each person's situation....), I do not ever want to take the risk of rupturing, which is very possible when you have a VBAC.
GL with your decision!
I will be having a another C. I was induced with DD at 37 weeks due to high BP and would not dilate past 4.5 so they did a C section. DD was 8.9 lbs at 37 weeks so to have a VBAC, I would have to go into labor on my own and with my history of having big baby's and my DH being a big baby (12lbs 10oz) my doc is not comfortable letting me VBAC but said it was my decision if I wanted to do it. She said at any sign of distress, they would do a C.
I am just going to do another C for the safety of LO and myself.
