Anyone NOT like hemp inserts?

I just got 3 large babykicks premium hemp inserts and I am not impressed so far.  We had our first ever leak and they feel so stiff inside the pockets. 

It seems like everyone loves them!

Really? I have Babykicks hemp inserts and love them. Did you prep them enough? You might need to use another insert with them that absorbs faster.

I don't have those hemp inserts but I love the ones we have. We have AFFF and some Hemp Babies doublers. 

A couple thoughts - are they inserts or doublers? If they're doublers, they're not absorbent enough to use on their own.

Are they fully prepped? That could be contributing to the leaks if they're not.

If hemp doesn't work well, you can try a MF doubler on top of the hemp (inside the pocket, of course). MF absorbs faster but hemp holds more so some people have luck with the combo.

I love our babykicks in our pockets and we've never had any leaks. Like others have said, you may want to prep more, even boil them before you use them again. I guess I wouldn't call them stiff inside our pockets, but they are heavier than microfiber. I'd try putting a doubler on top if boiling doesn't help.

I am pretty sure they are inserts!  I washed/dried 2/1/2/1/2/1 if that makes sense.  MF was working fine for us, I just wanted to try them because they are so much thinner! 

I won't give up on them yet; I was just expecting to love them!  Maybe they just need to be washed a little more.

It sounds like you washed and dried enough. I'd try adding a cotton or microfiber insert in with them (so the cotton or microfiber is closest to the inside of the pocket). It could be that LOs pee comes out so fast that the hemp doesn't have enough time to absorb it all so you get a little leak. Cotton and microfiber absorb faster than hemp.
