WDYT: SShould I call the pedi or just wait

DD has had a cold off and on for 10 days now.  Nothing to big just a stuffy nose she also said one time that her head hurt and I asked her where and she pointed to her sinus area and at that time I took her temp and she was 99.4 and just very sleepy but other wise her behavior has been fine.  Since that day she has not said a word and has been back to 98.6.  Last night she did not sleep good at all was up from 2 - 4 am.  I asked her if something hurt she said no.  Her mood today is fine but i am a little concerned she has only had 1 ear infection and we had no idea until we took her in for strep.  I was taking with my friend about it and she said that i should take her to get looked at for ear infections but she is always at the doctor for anything and everything.  I should say that DH is getting over a viral infection from last weekend and the beginning of this week

We just got another 14 inches of snow over night and the roads are a mess and DH is not home to deal with the top of the driveway from the plow guys we are on a corner so we get dump on with the snow so getting out will be a pain.

Thank you so much for you input

  • That's tough. I err on the side of paranoia at all times, and I would probably be posting exactly this if I were you. I tend to call and take my kids in if I'm in doubt but I know I tend to overreact. So I'm no help. Sorry!

  • I wouldn't run to the dr. If she is acting fine, just had a bad night's sleep, says nothing hurts, I would stay home until other symptoms pop up.

Hope she's back to normal soon!

  • I wouldn't today with the messy weather if she's acting OK.  See how she is tomorrow.
