Grrr. I didn't start having leg cramps until much later with DS. My water intake is spot on - I fill up my Camelbak 4 times a day [12 8oz]. I just don't think I get enough potassium and I hate bananas, so I need the extra boost of the prenatal.
I've been doing pretty well with it comparatively to the beginning of the pregnancy, but still haven't taken it for a full week straight.
Do you guys wake your DH up when you get them? I never know why, but I always wake him up and have the following conversation:
Me: Augh! Cramp! Cramp!
DH: Whaaaaaaat?
Me: Leg cramp!
DH: Can I do anything for you?
Me: No. Aughhhh!
DH: I'm sorry baby, stand up.
Me: I'm okay now.
Wash, rinse, repeat lol.
Re: Love waking up to charlie horses!
No thank goodness! Although there were a few with DS.
Doesn't only have to be a banana, either to help them go away. Anything with potassium should help. Here is some other food that could help you!
OrangesApricots
Avocado
Strawberries
Potatoes
Tomatoes
Cucumber
Cabbage
Cauliflower
Chard
Bell pepper
Eggplant
Squash
Crimini mushrooms
Brussels sprouts
Turmeric
Parsley
Spinach
Broccoli
I woke up with a charlie horse at 5:30 this morning. Guess I'll go buy some bananas. I didn't know this was a pregnancy thing, that makes me sad....
Yup, I had that in the post. Unfortunately I don't like bananas though.
duh sorry I didnt read it all the way just read the charlie horse part.
I'm not currently getting them (I do in the summers) but I have to say...
LOVE the Camelbak water bottles! The bite and suck? That has saved me through this pregnancy.
Thank you for sharing! I might go print these off! Edited to the foods I'll eat lol.
No worries! I'm glad you have a solution!
You poor thing. I hate those! A few weeks ago, it felt like I was on the verge of one every time I would walk. It's gone away now, thankfully.
And yes, I totally wake up DH. We have a very similar conversation.
I'm glad they've left you for awhile!
DH tried to help rub them out with DS and we're not doing that again! So nope, he can't help, but he can be awake with me.
