Re: Furbaby Question-need help!
Oh the life with a terrier!!! I have two and I swear they do as they please. Has it only been happening recently? You could take a urine in to your vet and just make sure there isnt an infection but I am leaning towards behavioral if it is only at night.
Have you thought of crating her at night? Dogs are much less likely to urinate where they sleep so taht might help. I know its probably not ideal but I dont have the patience for cleaning up urine all the time either so I don't blame you for being over it! Good luck!

It could also be a matter of her bladder filling up too quickly. How often does she get out during the day?
I have a friend with two small dogs that have problems holding their urine for more than a couple of hours. She puts piddle pads out for them and then just throws them in the wash. Alternatively, there are "inside grass" boxes that are meant for dogs to use when they can't get outside. That might work as well.

Sounds like my Jack Russell female....Lilly. Her first owner abandoned her in a parking lot so she has some MAJOR seperation anxiety issues. Her vet prescribed me some acepromazine for her anxiety before bedtime and I just lay on the couch with her at bedtime until she dozes off. Then I put her in bed (crate). Seems to do the trick.
My monkey is a Jack Russell/Yorkie mix and he's never struggled with this. But we night-crated him until he was about 18 months and then tried but he had trouble with barking (no bueno for apartments) so we gave him another 6 months in the crate and now he does fine except for the occasional bark-fest. I think sometimes a little crating just helps them readjust and know how they're supposed to behave a night.
I really hope she stops doing that! That's no fun to wake up to! I know males tend to have problems before being fixed with dominance peeing (marking)..maybe she's going through a female version of this in some way? Is she fixed?
