Cloth Diapering

What do you do without a rinse cycle?

This might be a stupid question but I am new to this.  I am starting to prep my diapers and it says to put them through a rinse cycle first, then detergent, then rinse twice more.  My washer is really old and doesn't have a rinse cycle.  Can I just put it through a normal cycle without detergent?  TIA and sorry if this is a silly question.

  • Spin the dial to where the rinse cycle would be and start it from there.

This. You could also do a short wash cycle. I do a short wash cycle, a super long wash cycle with detergent, then an extra rinse. I think my diapers get cleaner like that. A lot of people do rinse, long wash, rinse.

I do this. I just timed the rinse so I can go back and start the wash.

  • Awesome! Thanks guys! I am glad I don't have to go out a buy a new washer (although I probably should anyway lol)

I do this and I have a rinse cycle. I think my diapers are cleaner this way too.
