How long did your natural m/c last?

I woke up this morning around 4 with really bad cramps and heavy bleeding, which continued until around 7:30, when I passed a lump of tissue about the size of a golf ball. The last few hours it's tapered off quite a bit, there was hardly any blood in the toilet last time I peed. Does this sound like a normal time frame or do you think I have more to look forward to?

I am so sorry for your loss. I had quite a bit of heavy bleeding and pain for a few days. When the pain stopped, it seemed the bleeding slowed down. It is different for everyone. I hope the worst of it is behind you.

From my experiences it sounds like you are past the worst of it, but you could experience quite a bit of stop/start bleeding or spotting for quite a while, (up to a few weeks), but everyone is different.  It's not likely you would have another episode like what you described above though.

I had heavy bleeding/clots for 2-3 days and then it's been a week now of brown spotting.  I was 6 weeks when I started miscarrying. I did pass mulitple golfball sized clots (5 or 6) though. 

I hope the worst is over for you.  I'm so sorry you are dealing with this.

I miscarried at 6weeks last week, bled for about 6 days but only the first half of the first day was heavy bleeding. I passed a couple dime sized clots and then the bleeding was very light for the next 5 days. If the bleeding has lightened and there are no more clots I would say the worst is behind you, but it seems to be different for everyone in regards to the length of time the bleeding continues.

I have been M/C since last Thursday.  I will be fine throughout the day but then at night I start having contractions and really heavy bleeding.  Everyone is different but it sounds like if that is all you had then it isnt over yet.  Good luck.  I am scheduled for a D&C tomorrow morning.

I had heavy bright red bleeding for 2 days with bad bad cramps. The past 3 days has been very minimal. Today I had my final US to see if I needed a d and c and my results came back that I had passed everything. So i guess its official.....im back at square one.  Good luck to you and big hug!

I'm very sorry for your loss.  I haad heavy, clot-like bleeding for four days and then medium bleeding for two days and spotting for another two.  The painful cramping was only for the first two days - then it felt more like a heavy period.

I'm so sorry for your loss.

I started to bleed heavy by Friday afternoon into Sunday afternoon. Since then I've had off and on medium flow to spotting. I'm hoping its over for me soon. I go back for b/w tomorrow so I guess I'll ask what is "typical." I'll let you know what they say. Again I'm really sorry for your loss.

This sounds like what happened to me. After the severe pain and cramps, I passed several large clots and both the pain and the bleeding slowed. I bled for the next 4-5 days, but like an average period amount of blood.

So sorry for your loss.  I had a blighted ovum, so it might not be exactly like a MC but it started the day after Thanksgiving and I started light bleeding, and then really heavy off and on... the cramps started and lasted for about 1 1/2 weeks off and on.  It is def. different for everyone though.  It is hard to get through, but I finally excepted it after about 3-4 weeks.  Good luck to you!

I m/c at about 7-8 weeks and the bleeding lasted 6 days and i spotted yesterday.  My doc is following my HcG levels as they were 207, then 2 days later 115 (steadily decreasing) but now they want to test once weekly until we see 0.  my pain, bleeding, and other symptoms of pregnancy are all gone at this point.  Back to square one...wondering how long it will be before AF shows up.
