Dh has an co-worker from his former job and rumor has it that he was fired recently for bringing an automatic weapon to work, had to be escorted out by the police.
We ran into a another former co-worker yesterday who mentioned the gun guy and said I should check out his facebook page for real craziness. Turns out he's even crazier than I initially thought.
He has posted videos of himself giving tours around his home to look at his guns- we're not talking a hunting rifle or simple handgun- we're talking huge automatic weapons just laying all over the house. As he's going room to room showing off his weapons there are all sorts of kids' toys right there with there.
Then the dude goes outside to his backyard, swingset in the background, and starts shooting sh!t up. First one gun, then another, then another. In the meantime you can see a neighbor's house not too far away. Can you freaking imagine? If someone like him moved next door and starting going outside to shoot off rounds from a machine gun on a regular basis I'd flip. I wouldn't even be able to go home again, terrified that a stray bullet is going to rip through my house and hit a child in their sleep. I can't even imagine what a nightmare it must be to have this guy right next door with enough weapons to arm a small militia.
The way that he talks and describes things is just chilling. Seriously, seriously creepy. I'm not 100% anti-gun, but this dude is nuts. I can't say I'd be surprised if I ever heard his name on the news for some sort of mass murder.
Crazy guy has sent friend requests to dh and I and we've both ignored him. I can't tell you how much this guy scares me.
(I'm going to dd this in a little while.)
Re: Scared of dh's co-worker re: guns.
Perhaps an anonymous call to the division of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms would be wise. Or the FBI. Or the cops.

I think I would forward his FB account to the FBI or at least the local police. If someone would have done that with Jared Loughner, lives could have been saved.
Automatic weapons are illegal, right?

He's not in city limits. He clearly lives out in a more rural area, but from the video it looks like he just happens to have one neighbor nearby and pretty close.
This. That's scary...
