soybean oil/palm oil = need to strip fuzzibunz?

We put a small amount of crisco on our boy's penis to prevent a penile adhesion and I called fuzzibunz and they said it could cause repelling issues.  I put the smallest amount and I don't think it came into contact with the diaper, but if a small little bit got absorbed, do I need to strip them?

Absolutely yes, if it got on the diaper. Any kind of grease or oil will cause repelling. You can check by dribbling water on the diaper. If it's not absorbing fairly immediately, then you'll need to strip them.
