I got a question about weaning a 9m/o from breast to sippy cup and jar food. She only eats from breast and i gotta get her off. any suggestions?? she is attached to me like nearly 24/7. she eats every 3 hours and wont sleep unless she is on breast. she wont even sleep in her crib. We would just like sone help on getting her to eat and drink somethnig other than mommy. .. Is it also true that she doesnt really need the breast milk as much now than at an earlier age?Alison and Tim met 12/19/05 and married 7/1/06Expecting our first pride and joy (hopefully) Emily Dawn, 4 22 2010
Re: Breast to Cup
You have three posts. I have to ask if this is MUD? I think so.
Your story sounds awful lot like the last BFing MUD post a few weeks back.
And is this supposed to be your siggie?
I'm just going to say that at up to 12 months of age, that 75% of the baby's nutrition should be from breastmilk or formula. A 9 month old has a definite need for one or the other even if eating solids.
Those that delay introduction of solids or do BLW generally have a support group of some kind in place, whether it's online or friends. That mom would ask her like minded friends not a general message board.
MUD.
