We started with a new sitter last week (thats the 6th in a year, for those who are counting)...DS goes to her house 2 days a week.
She just invited my son to her son's first bday. Any ideas for a fantastic gift for a 1 yo boy? He's her 4th, so they are all set on clothes. I was thinking something personalized, but I'm open to suggestions!
#2...I found out via facebook that the sitters bday is in 3 weeks. How much would you spend on a brand new sitter and what should I get her? I was thinking a plate of pumpkin choc chip cookies and bringing her a latte from Starbucks but what if she is not a coffee person??? Suggestions appreciated!
Re: Gift giving questions...
Books are always great for birthdays - I especially like the Dr. Seuss "Happy Birthday to You!" and I just recently fell in love with Jamie Lee Curtis' "My Mommy Hung the Moon"
Or a piggy bank - personalized ceramic, or Things Remembered has a really cute silver train that can be personalized.
Maybe a giftcard to Pediped for shoes....that is always needed.
For the sitter....I like the cookie idea, but then I would get a GC somewhere....bookstore, Starbucks, maybe the teacher store (if she does a lot of learning activities with the kids).
I like the GC for shoes. Or maybe a gift certificate for pictures?
For the sitter I would probably do a GC as well.
