Do you ever feel like you jinx yourself?
Every year, dh's employer has a contest and the Top 12 get an all-expenses-paid trip to somewhere in Europe for a week. He has never won and is always #13 out of 700+. This year he was so confident that he told me we "most likely" will be going to Venice in April. I even spoke to my mom about babysitting for the week and was starting to get excited since I've never been overseas. And, of course, we missed it again by just a few. I wish he would have never even mentioned that it was a possibility.
Re: Are you superstitious?
Yup! I didn't want to find out what #3 was because I knew if I did it would be a girl.
I can't lie about being sick (or the kids) because sure enough we would come down with what ever I said we had.
{Ava 5.16.06} {Ella 12.29.07} {Drew 2.9.10}
IN that situation, I wouldn't say he jinxed himself since it wasn't previously won anyway. But yes, I'm totally superstitious. Horribly so, actually.
I feel that certain outfits bring me luck. That every other day is a good day. (can't have two good days in a row -- conversely, can't have two bad either!) LOL
I have many little superstitious quirks.
Thanks.
When do you leave for Vegas? He's going Super Bowl weekend but I'm planning on staying at home.
Leaving Thurs morning and staying until Monday afternoon
I can't freaking wait!
Although, of course, we are supposed to get snow/wintry mix Wed night to Thurs morning. ARGH! I just need to get there, with drink in hand...like NOW!!!
Have fun! If you like sushi, I recommend Sushi Samba in the Palazzo hotel. Some of the best sushi we've ever had and the happy hour made it extremely reasonable. Good luck!!
I've tried sushi once. Choked down the first bite -- put another bite in my mouth and gagged. Had to abort mission. Tasted like licking the side of a jetty rock! LOL
THANK YOU! I plan to have a freaking blast!!
