I feel dumb asking this, but I just ordered Matty a reusable swim diaper from amazon; it came today and it's basically a plastic baby speedo covered with a cute print. I couldn't tell from amazon, but am i supposed to put something under it, diaper-wise, or is it just a plastic poop catcher?? I know disposable swim diapers don't really catch pee, and I kind of can't imagine putting some kind of cloth diaper underneath the speedo to go swimming, but it kind of seems wrong to just put him in the "diaper" alone. I am a ninny. Thanks!
Re: Reusable swim diaper??
I think as long as it catches the poop, you'll be fine to use it as it is. We had one from BRU, and it was kind of like the material on the outside of cloth pocket diapers, without an insert of course. It was really tight around the thighs and waist.
ETA: Wait, did you mean you'd put him in just the diaper. I suppose that would be alright, but I would always put swim trunks over the diaper.
