This year I had a lot of fun putting together the calendars and books for the grandparents Christmas gifts. Then I put together the ABC book for J and really enjoyed that too. Now I think I'm going through withdrawals. Scrapbooking has always kind of appealed to me (I LOVE paper products) but I just don't have the space for that kind of thing. I've heard of Digital Scrapbooking and that sounds like it might be more up my alley space-wise. Can anyone recommend a software program to use or point me to any sites that might help me? Bonus points if you can share any pages you've done!
Thanks!
Re: Does anyone do digital scrapbooking?
Not yet, but I'm always tempted....The paper part doesn't appeal to me, but digital does....
I have the following scrapbookers blogs in my feed reader:
https://susanweinroth.typepad.com/a_little_bit_of_me/ (Is this a nestie/bumpie? I can't remember how I found this blog)
https://digitalscrapbookingfreebies.com/
https://www.shabbyprincess.com/
I occasionally download one of the freebies, thinking I'll use it when I get good and ready....what I really need to focus on is getting Miles' baby book up to date!
Maybe there's some sort of beginning digital scrapbooking support group. Actually, it's kinda surprising there's no Bump Scrapping board...I bet people would use that.
Cupcake's Blog
I've never done real scrapbooking either but like you, the digital scrapbooking sounds so much fun. I found this site...
https://jessicasprague.com/
I've bought a few of her labels to use for the kids invitations and stuff but it looks like so much fun.
I'll be watching this thread to see what others do.
I use two different scrapbooking programs for digital albums:
For PC
For Mac
Here are some pages from a digital album I did on PC software: Girls on the Run
And on the Mac software: Maternity Album
I'm a Creative Memories consultant, so I teach classes and one-on-one training on both. There are also free 30-day trials on the software so you don't have to risk buying the software if you don't like it. Feel free to email me (Marianne 241 at gmail) if you have questions, I don't want to be sales-y on the board.

Ooh, good question, M. Although, I imagine you could save the pages as jpegs and then upload them to book publishing sites like Shutterfly, My Publisher, etc and have books made like that? Could get pretty expensive, though. Even w/coupons and special deals.
Thanks for all the info and links! I'll have to check them out more in depth tonight at home. Your scrapbooks look great, MsPurple! I especially love your PG one -it's gorgeous!
Just make sure you know the terms of the program before you start...I made that assumption with scrapblog.com, made a kickass album and then couldn't save the pages individually without paying $1 each!! I had to use purchase the book through them, it was way more than I would ever spend with Blurb, and it fell apart within a week or two.
*still pissed*
Most software publishers have their own printing process (you upload to their site and they ship the album to you). This is how Creative Memories works, however, I know that with the Creative Memories ones you can save individual pages as jpgs and print 12x12 prints at Costco if you want to put them in a traditional album or frame a single page, etc. I do that a lot for gifts or to incorporate digital prints into my traditional scrapbook albums.

I've just started getting into the whole digital scrapbooking world. But from what I have read and found out is that you can either get them printed at Costco, they do 12x12 pages, and then just insert them into your scrapbook. Or you can do the books like Mrs_Shmoopie said. Blurb offers a 12x12 book then you just your pages as full pictures. Blurb I think is maybe one of the cheapest ways in book form, because you can get you to 50 pages, I think, under a price point.
