Don't open if you are eating. Vent inside

The house I clean today is just vile.  The stench that hits you when you walk in the door is unimaginable.  They are that dirty.  They always have dried stuck on poop stuck all over the toilet, including the seat and the handle (that they obviously sit on over and over and touch).  They have crap stacked everywhere.  Like what you see on Hoarders.  The laundry is everywhere.  Clean piles, dirty piles, never put away because they can't put it away.  I refuse to go into the basement where all the mice poop. You cannot see more than 13" on their kitchen counter it is so cluttered with food, shoes, money, papers, spices, dirty dishes. This is just the tip of the iceberg.

I hate it!  HATE! It is my nightmare on Earth.  I just can't imagine that people live this way.  It just reinforces my theory of never ever eating anything at a potluck.  You never know what people's homes are like.

  • I will be the one that says this....

I can't believe they would hire a house cleaner!

  • I always wonder if my cleaners are appalled at my house, I now feel much better! I have art crap all over - my son loves to cut tiny pieces of construction paper but I'm pretty sure there's no actual crap anywhere but inside my diaper dekor bags.

I don't get it either we used to have a housecleaner and I always cleaned before she came, I would be so mortified if my house was in that shape.

How often do you go? I assume every week or two how does it get that filthy in that time?

  • Ewwww!

I think I would drop that house.  What kind of cleaning do you do while you are there?

  • There is a complete difference of people's homes being dirty due to living there and just down right disgusting.  And to top it off they have no soap in the bathrooms so they have shitallover their hands and what not and don't wash them.  They have canceled 3 times since we started in November due to being sick.  Um, try washing your hands.

We go there weekly and it's so frustrating that they don't do anything but make it gross 7 days.  We basically clean the bathrooms, the stove, the sink, and sweep and mop-it's hardwood everywhere.  We try to disinfect everything that they touch handles, light switches, you name it.  Gah!  Off I go!

  • OMG...I am so sorry that you have to deal with this!  You would think that there would be some kind of citeria of what a house cleaner can do/should do.  I have only hired a house cleaner a few times and everytime I make sure the house is "clean" before they come.  Can't you say that you won't go there anymore....I mean is this so dirty that it is a health hazard?

  • I don't understand how anyone could live that way. I would lose my mind.

  • Yuck. How can you even clean? We always pick up our clutter before our cleaning service comes. Otherwise it's impossible for them to do their job.
