If you do not mind me asking!  And excuse my spelling.  DD is recovering from pneumonia.  The doctor said to give her albuterol every 6 hours with the nebulizer but DD is fighting me bad during the day.  Would it be bad to use the inhaler and spacer (or whatever that thing is really called) for her one treatment that she is awake for and use the nebulizer for the rest?  The doctor did not want me to use the inhaler while she is still in the acute state of the illness but at this point I am not getting much in her in the morning and I also have to give her Pulmicort at that time so it's crazy.  Thanks!

    Yuck.  Poor thing.  Keep trying with the nebs.  If you absolutely cannot get anything in her that way, then the inhaler is better than nothing.
