when to wean yr old off bed time bottle

hello

   im a new mom. and my little one is yr old and a month. umm i was wondering when is it time to wean off bedtime bottle. she drinks juice and water froma sippy cup already im just wondering about the night bottle.any helpful advice would be nice thanks.

Hi,

#2 was 18 months, but he was a problematic sleeper and we used the bottle and rocking to relax him.  He had water in the bottle by that point though.

I can't remember how old #1 was - maybe 15m?  I know we still gave a little milk in a sippy though before bed.

Honestly, I loved that relaxing snuggle time together before bed that I waited a long time before eliminating that bottle.  (Not the "right" thing to do, but I wouldn't change it!  She eventually gave it up and until then I really cherished the extra snuggles.)

My son is just a little bit younger and he is still getting the bottle.  He hates sippy cups : ( 

DD got bottles at night until she was 14 months.  I to also liked the cuddle time. DS1 nursed until he was 15 months at night (DS2 gave this up just before he turned one : (

Both of my kids were 100% off the bottle at 11 months.  I had them weaned down to 3 bottles a day at 10 months, at about 10 1/2 months, we went down to only morning and bedtime bottle and then over the next 2 weeks, we moved away from the morning bottle and lastly the bedtime bottle.  We gave them milk in a sippy cup morning and at bedtime once they were done with the bottles.  I never put milk into the bottle or formula into the sippy but since they had been using the sippy cup with water since around 6 months (give or take), they had no issue with the switch.
