pee or fluid?

Soo I'm pretty sure its urine (even tho its clear and doesn't smell like anything cause of all the water I drink) but I was sitting on the toilet for about 5 minutes today and whatever it was just kept trickling out! It didn't feel like I was peeing but I would try to stand up and be done, and more trickled out! It finally seems like it stopped enough for me to wipe and put my pants back up, and I don't feel like its happening anymore but has this happened to anyone else? Did it end up being fluid leaking? How would I know?

My OB put it this way - if you can't stop the flow, like you can when you are peeing, call.

It sounds like this warrents at least a call to the doc to see what they think, if you really had no control over the flow.

Yup- the rules of thumb are:

1. fluid doesn't stop with keagle-like flexing

2. fluid has a sweet-ish smell

3. if you lay down and then have a leak when you stand up it's fluid

I would call to be certain.

I did have this happen to me last week after my internal at the drs office and it was urine (yellow on tissue). I leaned forward to get the toilet paper and it came out without trying. Then as I was wiping I peed on my hand! LOL I waited and then told myself if I stood up and leaked again it's my water but I haven't had anything since. Good luck!!

it's better to call than sit at home and worry.

when my water broke with my daughter, i was asleep and woke up to a "pop" and a little trickle came out. it just kept trickling out until i was in the hospital and i got the epi.
