Burst in weight gain anyone?

So at my last appointment I was 23 weeks and had only gained 7 pounds....well my next Dr. appt is Friday, I will be 28 weeks and I have gained 9 lbs since my last appointment!!!! Bringing my total weight gain to 16 lbs which I know is about average for 28 weeks but holy cow 9 lbs in 5 weeks??? anyone else had a similar burst in weight gain? I'm getting a little nervous that this is a new trend and I'll gain 2 lbs a week from here on out! yikes!!

I think I was around the point you are now where I gained most of my weight. I slowed down again after 3 months. It is hard to see the scale go up when you are eating right and doing all you can. But try not to stress about it and you can take the weight off once LO arrive. To date I have gained 50lbs! So don't worry.

Yes that happened to me between 26 and 30 weeks. One week I gained 4 lbs in 10 days. Yikes. They said not to worry at all.

I gained 1 pound in all of 1st tri. Then it's been a steady 1.25 lbs a week since then. I was up to 23 lbs at my 30 week appt. It's frustrating because I know lately it's been water weight. I know I'm eating healthy, so that's all I can worry about.

up until week 24 or 25, i had only gained 5 pounds.  then i suddenly started gaining about 2 lbs/week.  my weight gain seems to be slowing down now though.
