Most of you will probably think this is dumb, but I have to get it out....
We have just gone through several weeks of illness....bronchitis, ear infections, sinus infections, and a stomach bug that was pretty mild for everyone EXCEPT the baby. The baby had to be taken to the ER for rehydration and was still throwing up at random times 5 days after we thought she was better. It took 2 weeks for the stomach bug to go through everyone and I have never dealt with so much puke in my life. Ew.
Now, DD#1 is super stuffy and has a low grade fever. To top it all off, I just found out the my sister, who was here both Saturday and yesterday, was throwing up all night last night.
We only had a week of good health and I will seriously lose it if the stomach bug my sister has is something different than what my kids had. I can't stand to see the kids sick, and my germophobe tendencies are going into overdrive right now.
Deep breaths.
Re: I swear I'm going to scream!!! (vent)
I'm actually really glad you posted this since I'm sitting home on the verge of tears for similar reasons and this post makes me feel like less of a crazy person.
Ours started right before Christmas when my oldest had a stomach bug. Then my youngest had a sinus infection and an ear infection. Then DH got the flu and as we getting over it my youngest ended up with strep and the flu. I started throwing up on Friday night and have not felt well since. I'm just waiting for my oldest to come down with the flu or the stomach bug (again) at this point. I'm like you, I'm a germaphobe and am having serious anxiety issues over it all. I'm ready to move us all into a bubble for the rest of winter.
Hope your family gets to feeling better soon!
We were sick from October 31 until January 2. We had it all from strep to the vomits. DH is sick now. I banished him to the upstairs, where we have a different AC/Heating unit. I won't go near him or let him touch anything in the kitchen. I just can't do it again right now.
Hope everyone gets better and stays better for a while. It is demoralizing.
